When something is the ethically and morally right thing to do - just do it. We need not look around to see if anyone else is standing up and doing the right thing, because many times, they are not.
Being vegan is not a diet. It is a moral philosophy that describes a way of living. The world is waking up to vegan ideals. A growing number of people find themselves arriving at the inescapable conclusion that eating animals is wrong. And they may find they are the only person in their entire sphere of social contacts who realizes the need to go vegan.
But just as being vegan would be a new way of living, new friends are also just around the corner.
Stand up. Do the right thing. Stop eating animals. Stop being complicit in horrific and totally unnecessary suffering. Stop supporting environmental destruction wrought by animal agriculture. Stop abusing your own health.
Don't worry if you are the only one you know who now understands it.
Stand tall, be confident, speak the truth. Others will follow. There are many existing communities online and elsewhere to join to feel socially connected with like-minded others. Find guidance and support here.
Light attracts light. You may start out alone, but you will not end up that way. You can do this. Be the light.
