Industry marketing has done a successful job in convincing people they must eat animals in order to be healthy. But it is becoming increasingly more clear that we thrive on eating plants, and that eating animals and their secretions like milk and eggs is unhealthy.
Vegan bodybuilders show us that massive muscle strength is easily obtainable on plant-based diets. We don't need to eat the muscles or any other part of animals to gain musculature ourselves.
We have been told we must drink milk to get calcium for strong bones. But dark leafy greens contain plenty of calcium, and in a form more readily assimilated than dairy products. Milk, cheese, and even so-called "healthy" yogurt are disease-promoting foods. Medical science is clear on this.
Where do you get your protein? That is a question every vegan hears more times than can be counted. But the fact is, protein exists in all plants. Some plants, like beans and whole grains, have more protein than others like fruit. But we can easily and deliciously obtain all the protein we need from plants. Eggs do contain a lot of protein. But they also contain a lot of artery-clogging cholesterol which is not present in protein-rich plant foods.
We did as well as we could for a long time, but now we know better, about all of these nutritional points. Now that we know better, we can do better. Better go vegan.
