Being vegan means living to the best of our ability in peace and harmony with others - respecting animals, caring about the wellbeing of other people. It means caring about the health of our planet.
Being vegan is a beautiful, respectful way to move through life. Kindness and consideration are excellent attributes to use as guiding stars. Being vegan means being mindful of our impact on others and arranging our life to embrace peace and compassion.
Being vegan is certainly a physical lifestyle, based on our diet choices. But it is also so much more. It is a path of spiritual evolution, an expansion of consciousness.
Watch A Prayer For Compassion, a beautiful film to learn more about veganism and spirituality. From the film's website:
Drawing on traditions including Christianity - evangelical, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Friends (Quakers), Seventh Day Adventism, Unity, and more; Judaism; Islam; Hinduism; Buddhism; Jainism; the Native American tradition; Unitarian Universalism; Zoroastrianism; and the "spiritual but not religious" point of view - A Prayer for Compassion calls on people of faith and spiritual seekers of every stripe to come together to bring about a world in which "The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them." (Isaiah 11:6 )
Becoming vegan is easy. There is more support and guidance than ever before. Be a shining, peaceful star - take the next step and go vegan.
